As you know 9 / 11 has changed our lives in many ways and security threats to the maritime industry are now a reality. With the restrictions being placed on foreign vessels entering the United States by the U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Customs & Border Protection, the need for professional security is a priority.
In order to meet the needs of the maritime industry, Blue Marine has expanded its services by creating Blue Marine Security. B.M.S. is a fully licensed and insured company able to handle all of your security and investigative needs.
Blue Marine Security has been carefully assembled with the finest, well trained staff in the industry. The staff is headed by Mr. Tom Latta who has over 30 years of experience in Law Enforcement, private security and investigations, as well as 10 years of experience in the maritime industry. With his extensive background leading our staff, his experience has proven to be invaluable in this ever changing post 9 / 11 environment.

International Repatriation
BMS detains and processes illegal stowaways for safe return to their originating countries. After notification and approval from INS, stowaways are removed from the vessel and incarcerated for safe keeping until all paperwork and arrangements have been completed for their removal from the United States. Blue Marine Security handles the removal of these individuals until they are returned to their homeland and turned over to the proper authorities. At that time, BMS personnel will return to the United States. A report of the deportation will be filed and a copy forwarded to the shipping agent. Blue Marine Security also assists in the handling of ship's crew that are detained by INS and require an escort to be allowed to travel within the United States. These individuals are accompanied by Blue Marine Security to the last port within the United States, placed on the departing flight and monitored until its departure.
BMS will provide ship security on any and all vessels entering the United States. Once a restriction has been placed on a vessel by U.S. Coast Guard, INS, or US Customs, we will arrange 24 hour security on the vessel from the time it enters the port until its departure.
All requirements of the restriction will be maintained and full communications with all government agencies, as well as shipping agents, will be kept. The number of guards needed will be determined by the US Coast Guard, INS, or US Customs.
Blue Marine Security can provide security at your land based facility, private function, or any request you may have. If there are any special requirements such as bilingual, male or female guards, these requests can be addressed.
We also provide security protection of any V.I.P.'s or persons in need of protection from possible harm. Civilian attire, as well as uniformed security officers, trained in Executive Protection are available.
BMS is fully capable of conducting investigations regarding any matter requested. Investigations into possible internal pilferage, systematic theft, sabotage, insurance fraud, and background investigations can be done.
